Why a neck strap?
Updated: Jul 11, 2018
You may ask why do I need a neck strap? I have been riding for many years, I don't have confidence issues and I am not a beginner.....
Neck Straps can be used for a number of different reasons and have been used for many years by both accomplished riders and those not so accomplished. The concept is not new but Soft Hands Equine can provide a purpose made neck strap that can serve a number of uses:
. Our neck straps can be used in the upright seat with one or both hands in conjunction with your reins to provide added stability and assist with your training
. Can be used as a training tool to teach a better stop and encourage our horse to lift their chest and neck and not lean on your hands
. Can be used to encourage a better hand position - discourages "pulling back" during rein aids
. Can be used during jumping to target a better release and as additional stability over jumps
. Can help riders transition to riding bridle-less as they can be used in conjunction with your reins during the training phase
